From sketch to completion.
A letter a day keeps the typographers at bay.
A fun practice piece. Stoked at how it turned out.
You simply can’t go wrong with Sam Cooke.
An unfinished piece from a movie still series. Johnny Depp started getting too pink in the face, frustration coupled with not wanting to overwork it I stepped back from it and have yet to return.
Yet another abandoned piece, Anthony Green.
Another early watercolor, a failed attempt at a wave that I became disenfranchised with. Did this one back in 2009 at an Alex Grey Visionary Art workshop at Omega.
About to bombard my blog with old watercolors, one of the first paintings I did experimenting with watercolors and getting a feel for them. Used a stock photo for reference. I’ll always have a strange affinity for this piece.
Like I said all it takes is one nice day in March to get my mind reeling.
The beauty of the North East, give us one mildly nice day in the 60’s after a gloomy winter and we already get summertime on the brain. It takes a bleak winter to truly appreciate what summer brings.
Back from my hiatus of not posting new stuff and being lame due to my work schedule in an attempt to pay some bills. Well that’s no fun, and I have a lot of odds and ends to throw out here in the tumblr ether.
Here’s a hat I inked up for my cousin at his request, he told me to do whatever I wanted, so sticking with the animal theme I pumped out for my brothers hat (tiger) I used the hats blue and white color scheme and had to do a gnarly shark for him.
Stay tuned.
A quick mock-up of a beer label. Plain and simple, no need to complicate it: BEER.
